Hypertextual Bodies:
Exploring Electronic Subjectivity
Hypertextualbodies.net, and its sister webpage, contagium.hypertextualbodies.net are experiments in online subjectivities. Hypertextualbodies.net  explores how bodies can be interpreted as technological creations, formed and read using metaphors of technology, understood in relation to contemporary media. The sister site, compiled by Jodie Austin, contagium.hypertextualbodies.net, is an experiment in atemporal blogging which prioritizes creative association over chronological linearity as a means of organization.

How to Read this Website:
07.11.08: The page goes live... for the most part. Some pages have been made verboten by an "upgrade" in the services offerd by Yahoo! Please let me know if anything that is posted is unavailable to the public.

27.10.08: Updates continue. More of the same, new papers added (really, mostly excerpts), new links, old links fixed, etc; Still looking good to make a debut on Nov. 7.

21.10.08: The core of the paper has been completely re-written and re-posted. About half of the links for it are up, though a great deal more is left to be done. Further connections to newly developed supplementary texts will be available (hopefully) by this weekend, though nothing is guarenteed until November 7, when everything has to be up and running. Again, please let me know about any problems. Thanks.

In order to read this hypertextual essay, please click above to enter into the first section of the paper. From there, you will have the opportunity to link to other sections, outside sources, images or videos which function as supplementary texts. There is no "right" or "wrong" way to read it, rather, you are able to choose at will when and if you deviate from the first page. For a spatial layout of the paper, you may click on the " "List of Links and Nodes" to jump straight into the supplementary texts or secondary papers. If you have any questions or comments, or any of the links are broken, please e-mail me (click on "an author" on the left) and I will either fix the link or offer help/advice/apologies for any problems. Thank you and please, enjoy.
